When we touched down in Auckland, my Mom immediately started to cry. We got to the airport at 11pm and met my Nana. When we got to the hotel we talked for 2 hours and finally we went to bed at about 2am in the morning. The next day my Mom went out to rent a car and pick it up so we could get around the country. We drove for 8 hours up north. We went sailing which was totally cool!
New Zealand is a great puzzle for me. A 5000 piece puzzle that is. Every day we keep meeting 1st cousins, 4th cousins great, great Aunts and friends. I just call them family. We got to Gisborne where we met my Moms cousin. He had a wife and two girls. So we had people to hang with for a while. We also met my moms three uncles. Tim, Mike, Anthony.
We stayed with Tim the first night we arrived in Gisborne. We liked them all, they were all very kind and funny. We also met my Aunt Debbie. She had two kids. John and Jessica. We hung out with them for a couple of hours which was fun. We shot and rifle and went four wheeling. We have met cousins that are AWESOME and that are a lot of fun, but the problem is that we have to keep leaving everyone behind and it gets sad and tiring. I wish we all lived together so every time we leave, my Mom doesn't start to cry.

We took off the next day to Wellington to drop my grand ma off so she could go take a plane back to Australia. We were on the road the next day to see the glacier. It was nothing I had ever seen before in my life. It looked like a frozen waterfall! Apparently the glacier moves up and down every year. The people that run the whole thing a very serious about the boundary’s. There has been deaths from people that go OVER the boundary’s. They have been hit by falling ice and rocks.
The next day we headed off to Queenstown where we met my three aunts and one uncle. We stayed with Andi, my aunt and her husband Beau and their daughter Taylor. They had a nice place in the country, and a fun dog named Ted. The first couple of days we just rested. But on the third day we went on a luge. We took the Gondala up and then took the luge down. It was so much fun it was like driving your own car!!! That same day we went to go visit my uncle Rob! He is the coolest guy. (sorry Dad). He took us on his Harley soft custom! (motor bike). The next day he took us into his jewellery shop. With the help of him and his son Tyson, we made our own jade necklace! Now that’s a good souvenir from New Zealand.
The next day I was told that we were going to meet MORE family! My Aunt Jody. She has a nice house in the country as well. I was happy to see that she had a daughter that was 1 ½ years old. She was the cutest kid I have ever meet and talked to. The last person we met was my aunt Sas. She was very kind hearted and very joyful. We spent a couple of hours in her AMAZING hotel room and the following night we ALL met up at a restaurant to have pizza. My two older cousins Tyson and Billy, Jordan and I played a good game of pool J. Close to our final day with family in New Zealand my uncle Rob took us on a whole day fishing trip. I caught five salmon fish Jordan caught 3 and my uncle rob caught 1. So amazing!! We ate the fish that we caught at dinner with family that night and the next day we set off on another adventure. AUSTRALIA!!. Being in New Zealand gave me a happy jump because I was able to put my feet in my Moms shoes. It’s good to know that I have family on the other side of the world so if I get down I will have family to bring me back up. I loved New Zealand and can’t wait to go back soon.
** I have captured NZ from my angle and took a few creative pics and have put them into a slideshow or two. Enjoy!
